Before Marble Lion™
For more than two decades, Marcela Montiel worked inside large-scale operations, distribution networks, mergers and systems under constant pressure.
While most people measured growth, efficiency and performance, she became increasingly interested in something else: the vulnerabilities that remained invisible while everything still appeared to be working.
Leading organizations serving more than 20,000 customers and managing operations involving hundreds of people, she spent years looking for structural weaknesses before they became visible consequences.
That observation would later become Marble Lion™.
Where Marble Lion™ Came From
Marble Lion™ was not born from theory. It emerged from years spent inside complex systems where continuity could not be assumed and failure could not be afforded.
Repeatedly, Marcela observed the same pattern: organizations often appeared strongest immediately before the deeper capacities that sustained them began to change.
The question was not why systems failed. The question was why they continued to appear healthy for so long.
